Therefore all they that devour thee shall
be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity ; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil,
and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds,
saith the Lord because they called thee an Outcast, saying .This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Jeremiah 30:16-17
Our
God has given an absolute promise of deliverance and healing. It is time for the oppressed to come to the Lord in faith. Jesus
said, "...He hath sent me to heal
the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. ..to set at liberty them that are bruised" Luke 4: 18.
The
Great Physician has laid down certain conditions for healing and deliverance. These requirements for restoration are simple,
yet necessary.
Be Teachable
The
first condition for restoration is teachableness.
1. Many changes required. Old ways of reacting and readjusting must
be changed. Bad habit patterns of attitude and behavior must be reversed.
2. Everything in one's life that Is not Christlike must be brought up
to that standard.
3. Pastors and counselors are spiritual doctors. The average person
cannot accurately diagnose his own ailments.
4. Be aware that CORRECTION IS NOT REJECTION!
Forgive
1. Forgiveness of all who have offended is an absolute condition for
deliverance.
Matthew 18:23-35: Those who will not forgive are granted God's permission to be tormented, the demons
are the tormentors.
2. Forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a rational decision, an act of
the will.
3. When God has turned someone over to demons no deliverance minister
can bring him out of that prison until he meets God's condition...FORGIVENESS.
4. Unforgiveness for SELF can lock a person into bondage as surely as
unforgiveness for others.
Forget
The
demon of painful "memory recall" must be cast out.
1. The continual memory of past offenses keeps alive unforgivenss, bitterness
and hatred.
2. The Apostle Paul was determined to "forget" those things which are
past.
3. We must remember to forget.
Repent
"Search me O God, and know my heart, try
me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalms 139:23, 24
1. It is possible that one's own misconduct is the seedbed for hurts
received by others.
2. How many times have we rejected others and caused them sorrow?
3. There can be no deliverance apart from genuine repentance.
Be Reconciled
Reconciliation
is the restoration of a broken relationship.
1. God, through the cross reconciled us to Himself.
2. Reconciliation is accomplished by God's love through us.
Stabilize in Human Love
Trust
in God's love is a foundation providing courage to "risk" human relationships based upon love. ALL human love is capable of
failure.
1. Surround yourself with stable human love. (The rejected have been
robbed of stable love)
2. To stabilize in love one must pour out his love on others without
demanding reciprocation.
3. Must meet recurring rejection with forgiveness.
4. Will not allow reactions of anger, resentment or self-pity.
Be Delivered
Deliverance
from evil spirits is a provision of the cross and is salvation. The Greek word "soteria" denotes deliverance, preservation
and salvation.
1. Jesus defeated Satan, destroyed the works of the devil, and gave
His followers power over all the power of the enemy.
2. Deliverance is appropriated by believers when they confront demon
spirits with God given authority.
3. The remedy for demonization is the casting out of the oppressing,
troubling, tormenting, controlling and hindering spirits.
4. Deliverance is the way to inner healing.
Fill the House
Matthew
12:43-45 It is one thing to cast demons out and another thing to keep them out.
1. In the above scripture Jesus emphasized the importance of maintaining
deliverance.
2. A man's deliverance is only as good as his obedience.
3. The house can only be filled by living the disciplined Christian
life.
4. "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the
lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16
Receive God's Comfort
Deliverance
deals with only part of the problem caused by rejection. It may be compared with the cleansing of infection from a wound.
Infection prevents the wound from healing, but once the infection is gone, healing can take place. The wound of rejection
causes "sorrow". "By sorrow of heart
the spirit is broken (wounded)." Proverbs
15:13.
1. Comfort comes from God.
2. It is received as a gift of God's grace.
3. "Wilt thou be made whole?" John 5:6
4. Give your hurts to Jesus. Choose to be comforted!
